If you are not aged 18 or over you are not permitted to use Gist without parental consent.How is my personal information used by Gist to provide the Gist services to me?Gist is a social audio app that allows users to send each other beautiful voice notes in an organised way; uploaded on the Gist network.
When you sign up to Gist you will be allocated a Gist pin. This pin is for other uses to find you on the network and join your audience. They will also be able to see your username; which does not need to be your real name. People can also see your avatar.
Other Gist users on the network can join your audience and they will be able to see your profile information (username, avatar and Pin). You have the option to allow Gist to access you microphone and gallery, to have a fully immersive Gist experience.If you have enabled location services, but wish to turn it off, you can do so by thefollowing methods:iPhone app — settings, privacy, [microphone] or [Gallery] , Gist Android — settings, privacy, [microphone] or [Gallery] , GistYou control your user profile.

Please be careful about posting private and sensitive details about yourself on your profile. Remember that this can be seen by other Gist users.
Please remember that any photographs that you post on Gist may reveal these kinds of special category data such as religious beliefs, your ethnic origin, your political opinions, your health, your sexual orientation, and sex life.
Where you do include this type of information in your profile, you are explicitly consenting to Gist processing your information and making this public to other users.
You can change your profile at any time to remove this information.For safety and security and to ensure you have the best possible user experience, we generate Gist Pins.
We want to make sure you are not a robot, sowe sometimes monitor activity! And we also want to avoid fake Gist accounts being created which can be used for malicious activities and cybercrime – they threaten the Gist network and spoil things for everyone.
To prevent abuse of the app/site, Gist uses can make the decision to block accounts. Gist can also suspend and block accounts from the backend to do this, our seems check accounts for content that indicates breaches of our Terms of Service. If an account or message meets certain criteria that demonstrate that the Terms of Service are likely to have been breached, the relevant account will be blocked from the backend.
All users of accounts that have been blocked will be notified that their account has been blocked and affected users can contact Gist App if they feel the decision was not correct via email [email protected] note that if your account is blocked, any account(s) that you have on our other group platforms/applications may also be blocked as part of our anti-spam and anti-fraud procedures.
When you use Gist we automatically collect certain information, including the unique device identifier assigned to your device (“Device ID”) and other information regarding your access to or use of Gist. We collect information about your browser type, referring domain (this is information about a third-party site that you were on before you clickedthrough to the Gist app) and mobile carrier. We use this information to check that it is you using Gist, to see how you are using the Gist serviceso that we can improve our services, to keep track of your preferences and to create a more tailored user experience.
We are only permitted to use your data when we have a lawful basis to do so. The proceeding information below provides an overview of the legal bases that Gist relies on to use your data.
